Hello to everyone:
I wanted to share with you a GREAT web site.
As you know I have been trying to locate people who are Tener descendants - initially at the request of my wife's first cousin - with an objective in mind of "updating the Tener Blue Book" (AKA the book privately published by Hampden E. Tener Jr. in 1949 -- TENER: A History of the Family in France Ireland and America)
Recently I 'met' Riggs Eckelberry - a descendant *(Refer Tener book page 75). Riggs is a technologically savy person and has graciously agreed to post the book on line. I would like to share the Tener book with you - in the event you do not have access to a copy.
In addition, this site appears to have 'some' room for expansion. Here you will access not only the link for the book, but there is also a link to the "Finding Aid" which includes the holdings at the Senator John Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center Library & Archives located at 1212 Smallman Street, Pittsburgh.
They have an extensive holdling on the Tener family there - and this link provides the reader with a good idea of the collection.
I want to "publicly" thank Riggs for all of his work in this project.
Enjoy.
